Field Excavation Technician

Can you be run ragged for at least eight hours a day, seven days a week? Can you multi-task, performing at least six different things at once while paying one-hundred percent of your attention to each task? Are you able to take up the slack left by five other workers who were recently laid off? Are you willing to work overtime at least five days a week? Are you more than eager to do all this for just minimum wage? Have we got the perfect job for you!

Job duties include, but are not limited to, digging a hole ten feet wide and ten feet deep using two hand trowels. Emptying dirt into a wheel barrel. Mixing dirt with water, making mud. Refilling hole with mud. Drying the hole with a large magnifying glass (an electric blow-dryer may be used on rainy days). Three such holes must be dug, filled and dried daily. You will also be required to handle phone calls while digging, filling and drying the dirt.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this job will have fifteen years experience in handling soil with a bachelor's degree in geology. Must be certified in the use of hand trowels. We also prefer that you be ambidextrous.

You will be supplied with two hand-free phones so that you may handle two calls at once with ease. We will be more than happy to supply you with a free pager so you can easily be on-call during your off-hours. You will be required to take turns with our one other worker in trying to fix our backhoe.
